Summer Vacation Day ? I lost track

Oh boy, Big Mom has been so busy on her computer, doing something they called a merge mail and a campaign for somebody they call "Bro" .

Finally got the Big Guy to say I could
use his computer and write my blog up










First I'll just get my ducky up here and get
comfortable so I can bring things up to date...

Okay, all set, Big Mom says I'm gonna get a bath and then My Mom is going to come here with My Guy and take me to their new place....

I heard its hot there in Las Vegas, it's always cool here, even when somewhere she talks about in "the valley" where I guess I was before, gets up to 120 degrees whew.....

Poor Joey my pal, lives with My Guy's Grandpa in the Valley, Big Guy says he won't hardly go out of his house, I can't blame him. It has been so nice here never gets above 78 here at the beach ....

Milo's Lament

Woe is me woe is me, I fear I have turned my vacation

Into being in my crate in a state of detention

Been banned from the bed

for aggression its said

The couch except for the footstool is now out

For loosing control, lunging and biting those about

Feeling better today, calm and not such a rotter

Think maybe its something they put in the water *

Hope I can maintain this even face

And not have to be locked up in disgrace!

Summer Vacation 4th of July

I've been hoping my Mommy and her Guy would be back to get me soon. So I had the Big Mom here at the beach make this video of me so they would know I been practicing my dancing and tricks for them. I know I am not as good yet as the animal stars on TV, but I am working on things, you never know. Maybe if I get to go to Las Vegas where my Mom is dancing, I will get a chance to get discovered.

Summer Vacation Day 21

Here I am again, got to bring things up to date.

Saturday night Big Guy and Big Mom were watching TV with me on the couch when this new show came on Animal Planet called Dancing Pet Stars well they thought that was so funny and laughed and laughed at the Big People prancing around with their pets. Me I liked that white poodle that did all the flips, she was pretty neat. But some of those animals wore tutus! The glitter hoofs and body glitter were bad enough..... anyway ever since they saw that show Big Guy has been working very hard on my pirouette and I think I'm getting it pretty good, but I'm still not going to wear a Tu Tu! Maybe a Kilt like the winner wore that might be okay.

Today was exciting, 'cause that nice lady that runs the noisy machine on the floor came back and brought her Little Guy who was very nice and I was very nice with him. I did get a little excited at the other lady in the bathroom cleaning as I thought she brought in some other kind of animal I saw in there, and I barked at it and finally got up my nerve and went up to it, but it was some kind of feather thing she uses, it smelled like a bird or something but Big Mom shook it at me and laughed a lot, I felt a little silly. I keep seeing myself in the mirror and think its another dog too... got to figure that out better.

Then the best part of the day came, Big Guy and Big Mom took me out in the car with them, then they went in some place and I had to wait....THEN they came back and we went off to a BEACH! All these kids and rides and skaters and skate boards..... I think that is what Big Mom called them. I did get a little over excited but Big Mom let me look at them a lot and told the Big Guy we had to come out more so I could get something called "socialized" .... I'm not sure what that is but if it means I get to come to the Beach some more, I'm for it!

Vacation Day 18

Boy it sure has been hard to get my turn at the computer, Big Mom has either been gone out or busy doing something. I finally got here to bring my log up to date. First off am sure sorry I lost it and leaped at Little Grand Mom and napped her leg. She is so nice to me when everyone is gone she lets me sit with her in her chair. But I still get confused when she comes near Big Mom or the bed. I finally am getting good about the Big Guy and he takes me out a lot and gives me treats and teaches me tricks that makes everyone look at me.

The other day Big Mom was holding the door for Little Grand Mom and I couldn't resist and ran out to see if I could figure out that place I went down in the other day. I ran around the other way where we walk and you can get to it there too, saw lots of bikers and kids and such and barked and went through the fence again...... then I heard Big Mom come and call me, and talk to the people but then it got quiet and I went down there again. I don't know where Big Mom went, maybe to get the car again, BUT I figured it out this time and if you go down to the end by the street you can climb back up that place where it is lower and get back in the yard, I was so proud of myself and ran straight home to show Big Mom I was back, she was coming out the door with the car keys, seemed very happy to see me!

Then Big Guy and Big Mom went out again, didn't take me, but when they came back brought me new stuff, I got new chew bones (I think Big Mom didn't like me chewing on her glasses, but she left them on the bed with my toys, so thought they were fair game) the new bone is chewy like them but tastes better. Also got a play rope and balls, but I have to hide them because I think "Fetch" is silly.

It is pretty comfortable here, good food and all but I miss My Mom and My Guy, they stopped in the other day, but didn't take me with them. I hear Big Mom say they are planning to come get me one of these days.

Meanwhile am having to try to get along with the locals. Beau is curious about me and sticks his nose in sometimes, but when I went under the bushes to say hello he got all alarmed and his back up and ran in his house. Next is funny pictures of Jiggley, she wouldn't hold still and look pretty like I do, you can see why her name is Jiggley.

Summer Vacation Days 5, 6 & 7

It was a pretty eventful weekend, but today was really wild. On Saturday I met a new neighbor a nice white poodle called Cheyenne, he was pretty friendly sorta like my pal Joey. Big Mom didn't have her camera so we don't have his picture. Also there's another girl dog, a grey hound, Jiggley, but she is not to friendly, I usually see her with the Big Guy and she likes him, I think she is jealous of me.

I was better on the weekend, I think I finally am getting over being alarmed by the Big Guy, but the Little Grand Mom still sometimes surprises me and I forget myself. Am trying to be calmer about everything.

Today was pretty exciting some ladies came to the house and were cleaning it and running that noisy machine, I kinda barked at. I was nice however, and think one of them has a dog 'cause I could smell it on her sweater, so I guess she is good people.

Big Mom got a call from her neighbor lady who said she was getting new windows did she want to see......she said I could come over too. So off we went and I got to go up some steps to her house, I was so happy it reminded me of home. Then we went in her house and I was good only barked a little bit at the men and the nice lady who has two grand dogs also, had a supply of doggy bones and gave me a great big one! It was good, and Big Mom broke it up for me, but I ate it all.

Then we went home and rested for a bit and then my great adventure began.... Big Mom wanted to take pictures of our friends house with the new windows going in, she wanted me in the picture so she let go of my leash so I could go in front of the house for the picture.... I got interested in all the new smells and places there and hardly noticed I went through the fence and was outside..... then some people came up the walk down below me and I got excited and started barking at them.... then Big Mom called me and I thought I better protect her from them and went down the wall at them.... OPPS, got down now what do I do, its so big, how do I get up again???? Where's Big Mom uh oh here comes some more strangers, whoa maybe I should try to jump up that wall, oh it's to high what to do what to do, I better stay here maybe Big Mom will find me...... I was so scared and these strange people kept riding bikes and jogging by me, I tried to jump up the wall again.... THEN I HEARD HER, there was Big Mom way down the sidewalk from me, I was so excited I ran like the wind and jumped in her arms, I WAS SAVED! She had come around the other way in the Big White Car and I got a ride home.... whew that was a close call.

Later Big Mom and I went out again in the White Car and we went to the store for dogs, I met three nice dogs there and got to go all around it. She told the Big Guy she got some kind of reel leash for me whatever that is. I guess I will find out later. So it's been a long day and I'm tired tonight.

Summer Vacation Day 4& 5

I didn't get to write yesterday, as I spent a good while in my crate contemplating why I am so confused about the Big Guy when he comes home and bark and bite at him and forget he was the one walked me at 2 am and 6 am . I even forgot and snapped at Little Grand Mom when she went to pat Big Mom on the shoulder. I guess she forgave me because later she let me jump in her chair when I was trying to see out where Big Mom went and then I sat with her and waited for Big Mom to come back.

I did go out and help get the mail and saw the next door boy, who Mom says is nice, but I am not sure, so she won't let me get near him, at least I don't bark at him. While I was in my crate contemplating my behaviour Beau the cat came over the patio wall and to the door and was checking on me, but when Big Mom went to get her camera I noticed him and opened my big mouth again and scared him away. I guess he is not so snooty, just shy.

Summer Vacation Day 3

It is Day 3 now and I must say the cuisine here at this Beach Resort is very excellent, the filet Mignon last night was delicious and the Bacon for breakfast yumm, and like that Turkey jerky treats. But the housekeeping around here is a little annoying, everytime I unpack my crate and put my toys and chewies out around where I like them, they come through and put them all away again in my crate.

Heard from the Chicago Big Mom where we visited at Christmas, it was good to hear from her and about that loud mouth Chicago girl dog Ruffian, who at least is friendlier than the local types here. I like best though my pal Joe III who came and stayed with me at my home in Glendale a month ago, he is kinda' immature but we had lots of fun chasing around together. Here's the Chicago Mom's e-mail:

It sounds like you are having great fun! Ruffian (remember the big dog with the even bigger mouth you visited at Christmas?) is very envious because she never gets to take vacations like yours! It sounds like you are doing a good job of keeping those big people busy. We're glad to hear you are having a good time! Oh, and Ruffian says thanks for the treasure hunt- she had fun finding all the treats you hid around our house when you were here.

The Big Mom here was talking to my Big Guy in Las Vegas and it sounds like they are getting a place soon so I can come out and be with them. Wonder how I will like the desert and if I will have an online access.

I tried to make friends with the locals, but they are kinda snooty here.

Summer Vacation Day 2
Today has been a busy day, we are just about to take a nap, as I am tired from sorting the laundry as you can see.

Had an exciting night last night, as the new Big Guy was out late and Big Mom let me sleep on her bed, but got kinda excited when people came in and couldn't help barking, then the Big Guy took me for a walk in the morning and I was still kinda excited about things and somehow thought I should let everyone know and Big Mom wasn't to happy as she wanted to sleep in, so I had to go in my crate for awhile to calm myself down.

Later though Big Mom and I had breakfast with bacon bits again and a nice walk-about, they are doing something funny in the road and it smelled very odd and Big Mom wouldn't let me walk on it. But no problem so many trees and posts here to take care of. The Black birds were noisy today cawing and Big Mom cawed back to them and they answered her, that was kinda' neat.

Then after lunch I went in my crate and got my toy duck and arranged it on the couch so I could cuddle it there. Big Mom found my pigs ear under her pillow and brought it out. She wanted to play with me throwing it, but I wouldn't bring it back, just put on the couch with the duck, then she got it again so had to take it in the bedroom and bury it under the clothes.

The other little Grand Mom is very nice and quiet and goes out but doesn't take me. I heard her and Big Mom talking about the "orchid" (whatever that is) and what to do about it, if it should go outside or stay in, as it was hanging its head. I don't know why it would feel that way, I think this is a fun place!

Milo's Summer Vacation Day 1

I arrived yesterday at this house near the water where I visited before. I guessed something was up because Mommy and the Big Guy were packing stuff....

They brought me out here and left me for my summer vacation at the Beach with these Big People who I met before. Pretty nice walking, lots of trees and green grass and they take me out a lot. But won't let me get at those cats!

I have my crate and toys, but they let me sit on their nice soft couch. I did sleep in my crate, but the new Big Guy was up very early and took me on a nice walk. I liked the Turkey bacon bits the new Big Mom put in my dish for breakfast it made my crunchies taste good. I found where she sleeps and she lets me get on the big soft bed when she is at that machine doing things.

I tried to do tricks for her for my vitamin treats, but not sure what she wanted me to do. She shows me how to lay down and roll over. I keep jumping but that doesn't seem to be what she wants, she wiggles her fingers and tries to get me to do something, but not sure what it is yet...

Guess this will be a good vacation!
